Course Description: The location for our start/finish line is at the Forest View Middle School. The Marathon follows a level, gentle course that winds through the beautiful landscape within surrounding the city of Baxter. While there are many right and left turns, there are no dramatic downhills. The race course is open to traffic so skaters must stay to the right side of the road.
Race Safety: Helmet and wrist guards are mandatory to participate in the event. Participants must be 13 years of age or older for the half or full marathon. 8K fun skate participants must be 10 years of age or older. Knee and elbow pads are HIGHLY recommended. Inline skates ONLY. No roller skis, ski poles, baby strollers, baby joggers, automobiles, skateboards, bikes, bandits, pets or wagons. Headphone use is prohibited.
Timing: The Baxter Inline race will be chip timed by Champion Chip Minnesota.
Divisions: Male & female. No cross drafting will be allowed.
Registration: Three ways to register! Mail, in person or online.
NOTE: Mail registration must be postmarked by June 8, 2010. In-person registration will only be accepted until June 11, 2010. For more information please see the link in the top menu.
Packet Pick-up:
Lake Region Christian School, located at 2110 Fairview Road North, Baxter; Friday, June 11, 2010 from 4 to 10 p.m. or Saturday morning, one hour prior to start at Forestview Middle School.
Pasta Feed:
Lake Region Christian School; Friday, June 11, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $6 (NOT included in the registration fee). All proceeds go to the Youth Booster's Club.
